Illustrator

Made some new posters, just of my own images using illustrator.

Did find illustrator a bit hard to use but is easy to get on with once you managed to work things out.

Colours!!

Ok I am unsure whether the way the writing is meant to be but here are some changes with colours. There is a lime one =]

Constructive Criticism ...

After a class discussion about my poster idea a few points were made to make the layout better. So this is the final outcome of taking the constructive criticism .......

Exhibition poster idea ....

The images are mine as I haven't got anyones images and it does need to be played about with, it is just a quick roughly done layout so what do people think???? .....

Web layouts .....

Since being asked to look at good and bad web layouts I have noticed the layouts of websites I frequently visit such as Five for catch up TV.

Even though I do find the site easy to navigate round the layout just seems as though there is too much going on with all these different links to many TV shows. The white writing on the black background is clear and the font is clear to read when it is the right size as there are many variants of font sizes on the site.

The dates and descriptions are in a grey colour is harder to read on a black background especially if you have impaired vision.

HBO + EMTB an interior design website was voted as one of the top ten worst web designs in 2010 for it's navigation around the website. I though thought this website was a nice layout simple yet effective.

Clear wording and nice imagery.

BAD ....

Searching through different websites looking at there layouts I found this website, which yes it clearly is a made website to show the wrongs of a web page http://www.angelfire.com/super/badwebs/main.htm .

Annoying tacky animations and music and the contrasting colours and flashing imagery, which is bad if someone has epilepsy.
